What a great testimony! Colby’s outreach continues. Be encouraged! Be lifted up!

I will sing praises to your name.” Psalm 18:49

Follow, free and forgiven, Children of the Lamb.

There leaves no room for any conclusion other than the fact that Colby was a devoted Christian and walked daily with our Lord. Truly an example of the point Paul made when he wrote “for me to live is Christ and to die is gain”. I know all of you take comfort in the absolute assurance that you will all be reunited one day in Heaven.
May God continue to bless and use each of you for his Glory.

What an awesome tribute to an extrodinary man of God whose wisdom was far beyond his physical years! Thank you so much for sharing Colby with us in this way and for allowing his witness to continue. Your faith and strength through it all has been an inspiration and a witness of its own. We continue to love you and pray for you.

This is such a sweet website. It sounds like Colby was a wonderful person. Emily, you and your family are always in my thoughts and I feel so lucky to have met you. I think this is going to be a great tribute!!

I never had the opportunity to meet Colby. After reading just a few of these pages I cannot help but weep. His words convict my soul as much the Book of James. It must have been a great blessing to know Colby.
I will continue to read his words and will incorporate them into my daily devotional time. I will also share this website with my friends.
I pray God will comfort your family over the loss of Colby and I pray that He will grant you peace knowing Colby’s ministry lives on.

How wonderful that his testimony lives on! This is a great thing to do–who knows how many this will reach! So good to share.

I remember the first time that Emily mentioned to me about Colby’s journal. I was overwhelmed again at how much God knows exactly what we need as we walk through the most devastating of times. God is using Colby’s words to encourage, uplift, and even convict those of us still on this earthly journey. Thank you for your willingness to share his heart with us and I pray that it will continue to make a huge impact in many lives. You continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. We love Alan and Emily lots and are so very proud of how God is using them through this.

It’s just amazing to see how God will continue to use Colby to bring others to Jesus, even when it seems a big part of a family is away. Colby’s words continue to testify for Jesus and will continue to draw others to Him. I am glad that your family have heard the Holy Spirit, as He asks you to testify for Him through Colby’s words.

Emily,
Your brother must have been an amazing person!
What a wonderful legacy he left for you to share with others like me who never had the chance to meet him. It is truly inspirational. I know you carry a piece of him with you in everything you do, especially teaching. I am blessed to have you in my life.

Although we have visited Colby’s site many times, we continute to find new words and pages that remind us of just how special Colby is in our lives and the lives of so many others.
Ken, Lynne, Emily and Alan – Thanks for taking the time to put this remembrance together and share it with the world. It is so nice to be able to spend some time reading and meditating on God’s words and Colby’s reflections on those words. He had a special relationship with our Father that some only wish they could have. Yet Colby’s words show us that it is available for all that come and trust in Jesus.
May God’s Grace sustain you in your lives and may He comfort you in those times when you need a shoulder to lean on.
We Love You!

After looking at Colby’s web site, it has taken me several days to formulate a response. I am astounded by your love and strength to be able to create something like this. My family is forever indebted to you and the time that we got to spend together at Crabapple. You shaped part of who we are. But, more than that, we are glad that part of you became part of us through our time together.
Colby was an outstanding young man. I am exceedingly sorry that we only knew him such a brief time. His words and his love are profound, and I am thankful that you are sharing them.
I sent a link to the website to Sydney who is at North GA this year. I know it will touch her the way it touched me.

Thank you so much for sharing this amazing tribute to Colby with us. Through this Colby’s ministry for the LORD will live on and continue to lead young and old to the one true Saviour, JESUS. I thank Colby for his obedience in sharing through his journal what God was doing each day in his life. Colby’s journal has encouraged me to spend each evening of my life with God, sharing my prayer concerns and thanking HIM for who HE is and the many Blessings we have received. I continue to pray for your family and your healing hearts. Praise God for how HE used Colby’s life with us. Thank you again Ken and Lynne.

I just wanted to let you know what a tremendous blessing this site has been over the last few months. I pray that the Lord would grant the kind of faith that Colby had in the lives of my kids; indeed in the lives of all my brothers and sisters in Christ and in my life. Thanks for sharing this.

Beautiful prayers from a Godly heart. Such a blessing to have these writings. God give you peace and anticipation … for a glad reunion day. Until then, we limp along in the darkness…believing … but wondering.

I can’t tell you how I have appreciated looking into Colby’s spiritual journals. Colby was such an amazing boy and friend to me as a teenager and it is wonderful to see a glimpse into the godly man he continued to be/become. Colby had a huge impact on the beginning of my spiritual journey and was my best friend for many years.I think and pray for you all often. I pray for God’s peace upon you all and thank you for sharing with others the love he had for his Savior!

I thought about Colby the other day and then I came across a site on Facebook which led me here. I looked at this site a few years ago and haven’t been back. I always loved being around Colby even though I was a few years younger. I can still picture his smile. I appreciate you taking the time to write these posts. I enjoyed reading the posts of Colby praying for the woman that would become his fiancee. I know that’s just a simple thing to pick up on in all of this, but it is what I needed to see tonight.
Thank you for this. God bless!

Dear Lynne and Ken,
It was so nice to meet you at the retreat this past weekend. The two of you have such a sweet spirit that could only come from the Lord. Colbys prayer journal is such a gift. We know how much it means to know that your son had a right relationship with the Lord. If we had to lose our children, it is a blessing to know that it is only temporary and one day we will be with them again. God bless you as you continue to serve Him.

Dear Lynne and Ken,
Thank you so much for sharing this labor of love with me. What a beautiful job you have done raising a Godly man and then allowing those of us that did not have the joy of knowing him to catch a glimpse of that which is so precious to you. Thank you for reminding me to not assume that tomorrow may not be just like today. It is great to know that God’s grace is sufficient…

Emily -
I stumbled onto this website not by chance but by God’s grace. With Valentine’s day around the corner I feel Colby and Holli’s story to be one I pray for my daughters to have. A partner that longs for them to be close to God! Could you please share with me how Holli is doing today?
Prayers to you and your family!

Feb. 4, 2012 Colby Alan Johnson was born! I am so honored to pass on my brother’s name and can’t wait for the day he will meet my sons! My 2 and a half year old is beginning to talk about his Uncle Colby and I only hope both my boys will feel they know their Uncle through us! I miss you, my brother.
